What We Do
People at TIM are about serving the Lord through electronic ministry.
TIM's primary goals are to...
... seek the lost that they may hear the Gospel,
... serve other mission organizations to assist them with electronic needs,
... encourage and empower Christians to do the same.
Direct witness:
TIM members witness daily on the Internet through various means such as
IRC, IPhone, FreeTel, UseNet News, etc.
Witness through technical support:
TIM members provide technical assistance to mission organizations which
have a need for remote technical support at a lower cost (via the
Internet) than would be available via regular telephone conversations.
TIM technical staff are problem solvers in their respective fields and
continue to learn as they help others.
Witness through homepage design:
TIM members provide homepage design assistance to missions and churches,
and occasionally will provide a homepage site to help a church get
started on the Internet.
Witness with the Bible:
TIM is working with BRI (Bible Reading International) in a joint project
to get the Bible on the internet in an audio form so that people may
listen to the Bible live at any time. When completed, the whole Bible
will be read 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year available
via many means (such as RealAudio Radio). This can be used also by
missionaries who are preparing to go to the mission field so that they may
hear the "heart language" of the people they're preparing to serve. Our
current list of languages which we support or plan to support include
English, Spanish, French, Russian, Tagalog (Phillipines), Romanian,
Farsi (Middle East), and Arabic.
Witness through discipleship:
TIM is developing a listing of churches throughout the world which
Christians may go to as a place of receiving biblical teaching, so that
believers may get locations of those types of churches for their own
edification.
