Projects in the Hangar
Cessna 210
A Cessna 210 bound for Honduran mission service was in and out of our hangar recently. Roger Sands, Ryan Joy, Helge Evensen, Chuck Egbert, and Angie Nairn, teamed up with staff members Don Penner and Darryl Gingerich to install wing tip fuel tanks, a tail modification, and a Short Take-Off and Land (STOL) kit.
Apprentice Holger Ziessler fabricates one of two "stall fences" needed to
complete installation of a Short Take Off and Land (STOL) kit on a Cessna 210.
Helio Courier
There may be some light at the end of the tunnel for our Helio Courier project. The wings and control surfaces have been repaired and repainted with the assistance of Jeremy Sikes . The engine is being reassembled by Chris Jutte and staffmember Dale Coates. Interior components have been fabricated and installed by Peter Kang, and Doug Lupo.
Apprentices Chuck Egbert and Chris Jutte work to re-skin
the Helio Courier. Chuck "drives" the rivets from the outside
while Chris "bucks" them from the inside.
Cessna 206
MAF-Brazil flew their 206 here to undergo an engine exchange and receive a 1000 hour inspection. Staffmember Dennis Satthertwaite is supervising this project.
Cessna 336
With wings and tail secured to the fuselage, the forward and rear engines in their mounts, and the interior trim in place, the 336 looks like an airplane close to flight, and it is. Andrew McCain, Seok Ho Ji, Holger Ziessler, and recently graduated Michael Burch, have put in many hours to make this an airworthy and attractive airplane.
Left to Right: Apprentices Chris Jutte, Chuck Egbert, Andrew McCain,
and Ryan Joy are part of the team lifting the passenger-side 336 wing
as Michael Burch secures the wing root bolt in place.
