Michael Burch Graduates MMS

certificate awarded

Michael Burch accepts his certificate of graduation
from General Director, Dwight Jarboe.

On Thursday, June 11, apprentice Michael Burch completed his thirty months of training at MMS.

Everyone met in the conference room that afternoon to help Mike mark this ministry milestone with fellowship, song and celebration.

Passes FAA Exams

Mike immediately scheduled and passed his General, Airframe, and Powerplant written exams with the Federal Aviation Administration.

Mike then completed an eight hour Oral and Practical exam which finished the process of qualification to receive his Airframe and Powerplant mechanic’s certificate.

Moves to Virginia

Virginia is Mike’s next stop along the road of mission preparation. He’ll work there as a pilot/mechanic until he builds his flight time to the required 500 hours of experience required for mission service.

Training Begins For New Arrivals

Ji, Seok Ho arrived at MMS in April. A native of Korea, Ji transferred here from Moody Bible Institute’s aviation program in Elizabethton, Tennessee.

With the experience gained at Moody, Ji jumped right into hangar operations and feels right at home amid the sights, sounds, and activities of aviation maintenance. He plans to serve as a maintenance specialist wherever God leads.

Doug & Lillian Lupo arrived in June from Burlington, North Carolina. Doug is already a commercially rated pilot and certificated A&P mechanic. He is at MMS to receive advanced maintenance training in preparation for possible service as a pilot/mechanic with Mission Aviation Fellowship.

David & Amy Keeslar also joined us in June. Traveling from Sturgis, Michigan, they set up housekeeping in West Lafayette, a nearby town where Coshocton County’s motto is well lived out: A friendly place with a slower pace.

David has earned his Commerical pilot’s rating and is here to complete a full apprenticeship. His goal is to serve missions as a pilot/mechanic.

But that’s not all! We expect two more MMS families to arrive in Coshocton by the time this issue is delivered to your mailbox!
