EXPANSION
Since November of 1997, ten families have joined MMS raising our official apprentice count from five to fifteen. That means over the past nine months, the MMS training program has tripled in size. And while the training program has grown dramatically, the square footage of our hangar facility has not.
Built twenty years ago to house three staff and five apprentices, our hangar is bursting with six staff and three times the number of apprentices ever imagined.
To meet the critical training and safety concerns of too many people working in too small of a space, MMS has moved forward with a bold plan to extend our existing hangar, add an additional hangar adjacent to the extension, and complete a long- needed taxiway from front hangar to our rear storage building. The new construction will more than double our existing hangar space and greatly increase our ability to prepare people and planes for worldwide missionary service.
The MMS building fund has already been blessed by generous grants from The Montgomery Foundation and The Coshocton Foundation, two local philanthropic organizations. Additional grant proposals are under consideration by other foundations. Coshocton’s Auer Ace Hardware has committed to assist us with kitchen and restroom fixtures. Local churches, businesses, and individuals are being invited to participate in this exciting adventure of faith.
MMS foresees continued growth at the Lord’s direction and increased impact in the local community as we maintain, modify, and repair the airplanes which carry God’s Truth to the ends of the Earth.
