Ryan and Rachel Joy
NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK
Ryan and Rachel Joy arrived in Coshocton, June 12 and were expertly moved into their home by a highly trained, expert crew of apprentices under staff supervision.
Ryan grew up on a horse farm in a Chicago, Illinois suburb. He trusted Christ as his Savior at an early age and in High School participated in a short term mission to Sweden. Always having an interest in mechanical things, Ryan was called to missionary aviation and began theological studies at Moody Bible Institute. Ryan met Rachel there and they married in 1993. It was also at Moody that Ryan learned of MMS.
Rachel was raised in rural, northwest Ohio and developed a deep love for missions through her family. Rachel and her parents spent three winters ministering in Honduras. Rachel was called to missions as a result of these trips and later enrolled in Moody Bible Institute’s International Ministries program.
Ryan and Rachel hope to serve the Lord through missionary aviation in South America. Ryan plans to serve as an Aviation Maintenance Specialist.
