PROJECTS IN THE HANGAR
Piece by handmade piece, the Helio Courier continues its painstaking reconstruction under the labors of Chris Jutte, Chuck Egbert, Jeremy Sikes, Darryl Gingerich, Dan Moulton, and Don Penner.
A Cessna 336 arrived in pieces after 12 years of storage. Michael Burch and Andrew McCain head-up that inspection and reassembly project destined for missionary service with JAARS, Inc. Working with them are Helge Evensen and Roger Sands.
Staff member Don Penner fits new aluminum "skin" on the passenger side of the Helio Courier.
Annual inspections were completed on evangelist Frank Harvey’s airplane and on a locally owned aircraft. Ryan Joy, Angie Nairn, & Dale Coates assisted the procedures.
Dennis Satterthwaite and Michael Burch responded to an emergency maintenance situation at Missionary Flights International. They were away for two weeks in February working on one of MFI’s DC-3’s (see page 4).
Several other missionary organizations are in the process of scheduling projects into our hangar.
Apprentice Andrew McCain (outside) and staff member Dennis Satterthwaite (inside) discuss repair strategies on the Cessna 336.
Apprentices Helge Evensen and Michael Burch (in hat) perform rib repair on the right-side wingtip of the Cessna 336.
